An easy walk which unfolds from the village of Bezzecca through the Val dei Molini and leads up to a beautiful belvedere, a naturale terrace with a view over Lake Ledro.
The Valle dei Molini is one of serveral places in Valle di Ledro whose name points to the numerous water mills which once existed along the torrents of Valle di Ledro. Nowadays it is the perfect spot for a relaxing walk in the shade of the trees along the Rio Sacher, which streams into the Massangla torrent and then into Lake Ledro. The view from the natural balcony of the belvedere encompasses the plane of Bezzecca, Lake Ledro and the mountains of Valle di Ledro in the background, most prominently Monte Corno. The bench at the belvedere is the perfect spot for a selfie or a souvenir picture of Valle di Ledro!

Bezzecca is a place rich in history. Here, on 21 July 1866 the Austrian and the Italian troop under the lead of Giuseppe Garibaldi fought a battle during the Third Italian War of Independence, at the end of which Garibaldi famously answered the retreat order with Obbedisco! (I obey). Visit the War Museum in the village centre to learn more about it!

You need to wear the right clothing and take the proper gear when you go hiking in the mountains. Even on relatively short easy outings make sure to take all you need so you don't run into trouble if things take an unexpected turn, for example a storm blows up or you have a sudden drop in energy levels.
What should you take when you go on a hike?
Your rucksack (for a day trip a 25/30L capacity should do) should contain:
Make sure you're wearing the right footwear for the trail and season. The going can get rough and rocky underfoot and a pair of hiking boots will protect you from sprains. When wet, a grassy slope, rocky slab or steep trail can be dangerous unless you are wearing the proper footwear.
And finally... don't forget to bring your camera! You'll need it to capture the stunning views you come across all over Garda Trentino. And if you like, you can share your memories with us at #GardaTrentino.
